Job Overview: : Oracle Knowledge (functional) consultant will focus on the development, configuration and maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Oracle Knowledge dictionary, the front end configuration of Information Manager and various other applications that are used in an Oracle Knowledge implementation. This position is based in the San Diego office and part of the OKM team and will be working on various projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
Working with Oracle Knowledge Dictionary to create, edit, and modify all dictionary objects as needed, including concepts, clusters, rules, intents, facets, lists.
Using the Oracle Knowledge Dictionary to optimize search and conduct tuning.
Working with Oracle Knowledge AnswerFlows to create, edit, and modify AnswerFlows as needed.
Working with Oracle Knowledge Information Manager to create, edit and modify the basic configuration of a repository as needed, including channels, security roles, views, categories, and data lists.
Working with Oracle Knowledge Analytics to create, edit, and modify reports from OBIEE front end as needed.
Taking the lead in new projects with fresh installs, guide the update process from the functional side, and maintain the dictionary, AnswerFlows, and Information Manager in existing installs.
Ability to work with teams and in a "multi-tasking" environment
Provide documentation for design documents, operations manuals, and solutions in the life cycle of a project.
Willingness to travel for projects and attend various training sessions
At least 3 years of experience with Oracle Knowledge/InQuira dictionary and Information Manager.
At least 3 years of experience with dictionary tuning.
High comfort levels in working with IML and VIL, facets, numbered xml files, and service browser.
A deep understanding of the Dictionary Workbench tools, including Personalized Navigation.
A firm grasp of the Information Manager security models, workflows, channel and console role configurations
Experience with Oracle Knowledge AnswerFlows.
Experience with OBIEE as a reporting tool.
A good command of regular expressions is preferred
Knowledge of the customer service operations
Good problem solving skills, excellent troubleshooting skills, the eagerness to learn new technologies
Proficiency in a non-English language is desirable.
Education / Experience
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university in linguistics or related areas; a minimum of three years of work experience in a customer facing position in the consulting world.
