We are currently accepting resumes for an IT Sales Engineer our main office in San Diego, CA.
Roles & Responsibilities
Engage in technical discussions for technical evaluation of execution of IT projects and products
Use PC, Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, DSP, Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), Hadoop, R, SQL, Microsoft .NET, HTML/CSS, JAVA/J2EE, Oracle, Salesforce, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Real Time Operating System (RTOS), Linux, Windows, C, C++, Cisco ISE, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA Firewall, Cisco Sourcefire, SCRUM JIRA etc to identify, analyze, execute, close, and implement IT sales of products or projects.
Increase IT sales efforts on the assigned IT engineering accounts and supporting generation of new business prospects through marketing and networking efforts. Identify new IT/technical sales opportunities.
Use knowledge in design, development, porting, and migration of legacy systems, testing, verification and validation. Gather requirements by engaging with client engineering managers and propose solutions.
Estimate effort from functional and technical perspectives.
Create work breakdown structure (WBS), use MS Project tool and use project or product lifecycle – design, development, integration, testing and use knowledge in domains such as Cloud Computing, Data Sciences, Analytics, Business Intelligence and Product Design Engineering and propose IT applications and systems.
Bid for and respond to Technical Request for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Use knowledge in Software/hardware design, development & testing, Cloud computing (Azure, AWS), Business Intelligence, Big Data, Virtual Security, ERP, Data warehousing, Web Applications, and Agile/DevOps/Waterfall methodologies in executing and closing IT Sales and delivering IT products or projects.
Collaborate with internal team members for technical proposals and related IT sales needs.
Work with the delivery team on pricing for services and the delivery schedule.
Prepare reports and maintain information in the CRM.
Provide updated forecast and sales plan regularly to meet set goals.
Prepare IT sales budgets and seek approvals for budget expenditures. Acquire and transfer knowledge from client to delivery team and vice versa.
Review CRM data, generating insights, communicating them to team and management. May require travel to unanticipated work locations.
Required Skills & Experience
Require Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science
Computer/Management Information Systems
Or related field and 5 years' experience in the job offered, Technical Sales Engineer, Design/Systems Engineer, Sales Engineer Manager, Engineering Manager/Consultant, or related field.
