Summary: Oracle Knowledge technical architect will focus day-to-day support, configuration and troubleshooting, of various Oracle knowledge applications including the Analytics. This position is based in the San Diego office and part of the OKM team and will be working on various projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
Having a deep understanding of all components of Oracle Knowledge: Search, Information Manager, AnswerFlow, and Analytics and being able to use this knowledge in designing technical solutions.
Providing high level technical architecture recommendations for Oracle Knowledge, given the customer's design requirements.
Leading a team of developers, testers, and Oracle Knowledge consultants in implementing solutions.
Being able to explore alternative technical solutions and construct prototypes for the team as needed
Being able to diagnose and troubleshoot Oracle Knowledge related issues and defects.
Providing documentation of processes and procedures for the customer and team members.
Candidate must be comfortable training customer and team members
Candidate must be able to work in a customer-facing, multi-tasking environment
Willingness to travel and learn new technologies
5-7 years' experience in consulting or technical environment
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Oracle Knowledge (aka InQuira)
Must have extensive experience in the installation and configuration of Oracle Knowledge Search, Information Manager, and Analytics in both distributed and non-distributed environments.
Must have extensive experience in customizing InfoCenter, iAuthenticator, and iConnect,
Must have good knowledge of AnswerFlow customizations.
Must have experience with OBIEE and ODI, must be able to customize OBIEE dashboard and analyses.
Must have experience in creating custom search and indexer code, e.g., pre, postprocessors, classifiers.
Deep understanding of Oracle Knowledge APIs: Tag Library, Service Client, IMWS
Must have extensive knowledge of Java EE, Bootstrap 2.x and jQuery
Solid knowledge in HTML, CSS, and ECMAScript 6
Must have experience with database query languages
Good understanding of load balancing best practices and web server configuration methodology
Good knowledge of WebLogic configuration and management,
Must have experience with GIT
Experience and knowledge in the following areas would be a plus: WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST),
Database Server configuration, Linux and Windows shell programming, writing JMeter test scripts, setting up Eclipse IDE for remote debugging, and the ability to use the BI Administration Tool
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or one or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
